The Public Information Committee members have developed a one page fact sheet about used fuel storage for commercial nuclear power. This fact sheet explains what used nuclear fuel is and gives an overview about how it is stored on-site at a commercial nuclear power plant.

The PI committee plans to continue developing a series of fact sheets with the aim of providing objective information about hot nuclear topics. The next fact sheet will cover used fuel transportation. The next fact sheet should be released in approximately one month and will be available to download.
