The Carolina NA-YGN 4-Site Meeting was held this past March in Spartanburg. The agenda included an update of National YGN events for the year, committee updates on their activities the past year, a presentation on the company in 10 years, a panel discussion by current management and technical tracks on how they got where they are today, an employee retention idea session, and a team building challenge.

The next four-site meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, March 8 from 8:30 to 3:30. The agenda is packed full of Professional Development opportunities. We will have an update on the company’s goals for the next ten years, a panel discussion by managers and technical specialists on how they moved through their careers, information on the Personal Development Plan, and a team building activity. Please accept the meeting invitation sent out earlier if you plan on attending so that we can plan for enough food. As always, ask your supervisor for permission to attend.
The AREVA Charlotte Chapter of NA-YGN has invited our members to join them for a Paintball outing. They will be playing on January 20th from 9am to 1pm in Rock Hill, SC. Spouses and friends are invited and cost is $20/person. Click read more for details. We are putting together a team to participate in a bike-a-thon to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The MS 150 Bike Tour is a two-day cycling event that raises money and promotes local programs and national research. This is a 150 mile ride (with many pit stops) that will take place September 16-17,2006. We are the Young Generation, so what’s a mere 150 miles? Check out this link for more info. Family & friends are more than welcome to participate, so spread the word!

The first Chapter-wide event since our formation is Thursday, February 23rd at the Radisson in Spartanburg. Our YGN officers and Site Reps will be introduced followed by a number of presentations and activities. It’s also a great opportunity to meet many of your peers at the other sites.
